Since August 18, 2021, Ecofirst has been accredited in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to conduct faunal and floral studies (one-time surveys, long-term monitoring) and environmental studies (environmental impact assessments, Natura 2000 screening, life cycle assessments, etc.). Ecofirst works specifically to assess the potential impact of various civil engineering or urban development projects on the natural environment. Our ecologists draw on their experience to avoid, minimise or offset impacts on nature, where applicable.
Depending on the needs, we handle various projects or expert assessments: ecopoint assessments (ecological assessments), summary analysis of impacts on Natura 2000 (FFH screening), anticipated mitigation measures (CEF), permit applications, technical notes listing key environmental considerations for a project, targeted studies of fauna (birds, bats, reptiles, protected species), or flora (protected natural habitats), expert assessments on various issues related to nature/biodiversity or plantings, etc.
Our expertise for this project:
- Project coordination: P. Nyssen, N. Van den Abbeel
- Legislative issues, analysis of specific situations: P. Nyssen
